In appreciation for contributions made to their new building, the college commissioned a featured donor wall in the lobby. Changeable wood panels represent donor amounts by size, shape and color and donor names are routed out of a brushed metal, adhesive-backed laminate.

As part of a larger site plan to build green spaces and an Ampitheatre into the the city’s downtown, the city asked to have permanent entrance markers constructed. These custom designed luminary plant beds flank each of the Roanoke parks entrances and the design echoes the surrounding architecture.

An exhibit design and installation re-imaging the garden parties once held on the site of the museum. The grounds are known for their boxwoods, so the displays feature floral-covered archways and trellises that visitors walk under to pass through each currated setting.

Exhibit showcasing Civil War leaders on the Sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary of the Civil War. Design included, custom built cases, object layout, exhibit logo, graphic rails, graphic panels, and coordinating book to catalogue the exhibit artifacts and information.

Aquarium Display
While at The 1717 Design Group we created a design for the shape and exterior finishes of Center in the Square’s 5,500-gallon Living Reef Aquarium. Monitor displays and interactive iPad units allow the visitor to learn about the types of fish and coral that live in the aquarium.
